Custom Fit

The new GP-6RC is a stunning example of Arai’s vision and technological mastery engineered into a functional, real-world piece of safety equipment. It begins with a startling advancement: a proprietary Carbon Fiber (CF) weave that combines CF’s existing benefits of high strength and extreme light weight with a major added benefit that standard CF does not possess: flexibility. (Standard CF tends to splinter or shatter instead of flex on impact.) The result is a helmet ready for the unparalleled demands and requirements of Formula-1 racing. One whose remaining list of features and advances is impressive because, for this helmet and its prospective user, it simply has to be. The GP-6RC meets or exceeds the FIA 8860-2010 Standard and the SNELL SAH 2010 Standard.

Notice: If you have the helmet painted, please do not remove the trims as this will void the FIA certification.

Introducing the new Arai GP-7. The new GP-7 combines Arai’s proprietary, groundbreaking PBcLc (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate) shell construction, an ultra-comfortable interior, and a host of new Arai technological solutions that create the latest Arai automotive racing helmet.

The Arai GP-7 delivers an extensive list of new features including;  a new re-positioned lower shield pivot point that increases the protective area of the helmet, new restyled air intake ports for optimum efficiency, two additional exhaust ports on the top of the helmet for improved exhaust airflow, a new chin bar design, new cheek pads that encapsulate your head for an amazing compact feel, and an updated rear exhaust cowling for improved aerodynamics and better exhaust air venting. The proven Arai shell gives the Arai GP-7 incredible strength and flexibility, and that strength allows Arai to use an extremely soft EPS liner that’s so comfortable it’ll make you think more about a nap than a race. Right until you strap in, that is.

Now Snell SA2020 certified, with the M6 washer/nut installed at the factory. With the 6mm washer/nut installed, anyone can now easily install a variety of Head and Neck Restraint systems that use a 6mm bolt to their helmet. This helmet also comes with the FIA-8859-2015 certification sticker applied to the interior liner of the helmet.

The XD-5 is a completely redesigned helmet, packed with many new features. As with everything from Arai, every improvement is made with a priority for protection. And this new model brings us ever closer to the ideal Arai shape for protection.

One of the biggest changes is the visor system and its visor. The new VAS-A visor system, derived from the VAS-V system originally developed for the Corsair-X, has been designed to maximize Glancing-Off performance, meaning more surface area to glance off impact energy whilst offering easy installation and removal of the visor and peak. The visor itself has been redesigned for increased visibility and Glancing-Off performance, and is now a Max Vision visor, so a Pinlock insert can easily be installed. The new VAS-A visor system also makes it easier to switch, without tools, to one of the other styles. You can choose between Adventure, Off-road and On-road.
