Combine Arai’s proprietary, groundbreaking PB-cLc (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate) shell construction -- lowered pivot point allowing for a more round and smooth Egg-Shape Form shell, sculpting cheek pads, lowered chin bar for enhanced downward vision, on and on. The new shell gives you incredible strength and flexibility, and that strength allows Arai to use an extremely soft EPS liner that’s so comfortable it’ll make you think more about a nap than a race. Right until you strap in, that is. The cheek pads are replaceable for a more personal fit. Up top, the ventilation system is greatly improved with three large intake vents, plus four larger exhaust cowls.

GP-VAS Shield System
The GP-VAS System was developed to lower the shield pivot point and still open fully without contacting the shell, resulting in improved impact absorption performance in the FIA Standards' impact absorption test. Additionally, the highest point of the new shield in the closed position is 17mm lower than the previous model increasing the area of smooth surface above and improving it's glancing off ability.
Shield Center Lock
The new center shield lock allows effortless function for both drivers and safety crew, from either side, with a positive lock that keeps the shield locked even when receiving an impact, clearing the FIA8859-2024.
Taller Field of View
To enhance visibility, the bottom of the eye port was cut lower for better visibility of critical gauges. Thanks to the experience of our R&D team, approximately 8mm of view at the bottom of the eye port was added without affecting the protection ability of the helmet.
System Interior Padding
The new removable liner allows for better airflow, easier cleaning and fitment adjustment. A 7mm dense foam pad and 5mm soft foam pad on both sides of the head liner can be removed for an adjustment of up to two sizes.
Cheek Pads
Redesigned cheek pads allow for easy microphone installation, with a small hole provided in the cover to allow for smooth routing and a clean look.
Wider View Precut
New for the GPV-R is a small precut portion of the upper corner of the cheek pad. When removed, this reduces upper cheek bone pressure, allowing glasses to rest more naturally.
Ventilation Duct
The ventilation holes on the top of the helmet have been moved forward 15mm from the previous design, achieving better ventilation without compromising protection ability.
